Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Multiple reviews mention rooms are clean and well kept; one comment about overly starched sheets but overall cleanliness is strong.

Service

Staff repeatedly praised (named staff, helpful reception and organised late check-out), though a few notes about inconsistent reception competence and rooftop access policies.

Location

Consistently described as excellent — directly on/very close to Venice Beach with great views and central access to shops and restaurants.

Room Quality

Rooms are described as spacious, bright with good beds and balconies, but some guests reported issues (slow shower drain, missing bathroom door, noise at times, single elevator impact).

Amenities

Strong amenities noted (rooftop bar/restaurant, complimentary bikes and towels), but limited elevator capacity, small breakfast area, expensive parking and pricey minibar reduced the score.

Value for Money

Several guests felt the hotel was overpriced for what was offered — frequent complaints about the basic or poor breakfast relative to price, high parking and minibar costs.

Stunning Ocean Views and Beachside Luxury

Luxurious Amenities: The Hotel Erwin offers 49" flat-screen HDT Vs, i Pod docking stations, and coffee making facilities in every room. Guests can enjoy ocean views from balconies and relax in separate seating areas.
